Has anyone done a transgender story with both female and male versions of the same character?

Not necessarily loved by each other, obviously. But by the same POV character who gets with the transgender character in each gender body, notices the differences, and appreciates them. Thinking about this concept, wondering if and how anyone has approached it in the past. The POV character is bi, of course.

Not with that specific comparison in mind, but yes through a transition. My Fishing series is pre-op then she hooks up with her old flame post-op in Under Your Spell

I’m know there’s plenty of magical fetish stories encompassing the ‘Then I woke up with tits and fucked an entire football team, guzzled their come like the horny bitch I am, woke up dazed in a hotel room feeling nauseous and with shaved legs, wow did that really happen?’ 😂
Moral being, watch your drink in a public bar

Good advice, thanks.

What now? A story revolving around two people fucking this one person?

I have a (not entirely written yet) story about a man who falls in love with a pre-surgery mtf trans woman. It’s set in a Star Trek-ish future with that level of handwavy magic technology, so when her surgeries are done, she’s indistinguishable from a cis woman. But it engages with a lot of what a mtf experience might look like in that setting, including the fact that most trans people realize it much younger and why this character didn’t. She’s very much an anomaly.

I think he means the pov sees the trans person before and after surgery? I suspect the op was trying to avoid causing offence and tripped up on the pc hurdles!

No, and yes, it's called Just a Friendly Drink. It's from the future transgenders point of view before he turns to her. However, she doesn't have any surgery at the end of the story and may not have surgery as it's very expensive.

Of course, you understand that regardless of what physical changes a person makes with their body, they themselves remain the same person. Or is it imagined that the physical changes would produce changes in personality? Actually I could see how that might happen.

Well, it does change personality to a degree, depending on if you are taking estrogen or testosterone.

I can see how that might happen although I suppose the same might be true of cisgender people experiencing hormonal changes as they age. It’s an interesting idea that I hadn’t really thought much about before.

Well, yes, nearly all of my male-to-female transition stories have the character(s) shown in both male and female versons.

Yeah, I figured the concept was worth discussing even if I never write the story. For the record, yeah, I mean pre and post op, same lover’s pov. Only it’s not an op but a magic potion. Fantasy setting. Not saying more.

There is one, not strictly a trans story where a man had his brain transplanted into a woman's body and he goes through the transition to feeling and acting like a woman.

I'll see if I can find it for you.

More interested in the lover’s pov at the moment. I’ve edited a couple stories from the trans character’s pov already and it’s always the “I’ll love you even more when you’re x” cliche, so they go through with it after doubts, of course everything works out. I’m wondering about something where the trans character changes without necessarily talking to their lover and now they have to deal with it.

What is the “I’ll love you even more when you’re x” cliche? I laughed when I read it but now I am curious about exactly what you meant.

“Honey, I’m nervous about becoming a woman. Lower your pressure please.”
“I’ll love you even more when you go through with it, dear.”

Exaggerating a bit for effect.

Very interesting. I must be in a very small minority. I was happy with my girlfriend’s body and I didn’t care if she made any changes to it at all. I paid for her breast implants but I was content with her flat chested. All that matters to me is if she is happy with herself.

There's been some good erotic stories written using the Tiresias myth - he gets switched into a woman, then seven years later switched back again. Sometimes repeatedly.

Yeah, this is how I am concerning any woman’s, any person’s, body sculpting. Let’s not explore the issue further. Thx to everyone here for their support.

That's why I run through the hurdles, like a mustang into crowds- gets the message across better that way.

Couples do / can stay together through a transition but it can’t be easy for either of them. The pressures will impose as much externally as it would between them. Let’s be honest and not be blinded by the principles of ‘I’ll love you as a person no matter what’ because real life isn’t like that all the time , in fact seldom is closer. It’s a difficult and an intensely personal experience and would make a good story, though I’m not sure lit’s readers would agree.
Give me a shout if I can help

Just kidding! You shouldn't leave the door open that way for me.
