I live in an old house and found a hidden room in it. Much to my surprise, months later I found a hidden room within my hidden room. That is where I keep my guns, but I had an issue awhile back where I was unprepared for a man coming into my home. At the time I did not keep my guns loaded, but now I do so having them well hidden, but accessible and fully loaded is important to me.

In life, I always carry a concealed handgun. I have five daughters and a wife, and they have said that they feel much safer with me having one, so the people that like to claim its because gun owners have a "small penis" are not right at all. I carry for those in my life who have no penis at all.

But the reason I carry is, years ago I came across an elderly lady being attacked by two vicious dogs, and did not carry at the time. I was powerless to do anything but beat off the dogs with a piece of firewood. The woman did live, but spent four months intensive care and had 12 reconstructive surgeries to her face. I am more prepared now as that feeling of powerlessness is nothing I want to experience again.

I shot my first deer with an AK-47... nice caliber for that!

I still love them, but wondered why the AR-15 was so popular until I started buying them. Just more options with them and they are ideal for my family.

We have livestock so my 17 year old daughter can take shots at coyotes if need be, plenty of rounds in the clip, little recoil, and accurate to 300 yards. People often ask why a person needs an AR-15 and that is the answer right there. It's the modern day equivalent of the old flintlock above the mantle in days of olde; just an all-around great gun when teamed with the right ammunition.

I have yet to get another AK-47, having went with the AR-10, but its on the to-buy list.

I keep my weapons loaded and not all in one place around the house with no trigger locks. If a child comes in the house and I know in advance I put them all in one place and keep that room off limits. I also keep an eye on the child while in my home. i also tell the parents there are loaded weapons in the house.

My safe has a touchpad, but also a bypass where you can use a key if the touchpad fails.

When I bought my safe Tennessee had a sales tax moratorium on gun safes. It has since lapsed but I saved substantially not having to pay sales tax as well as getting the safe on sale.

Keep the mindless pinning trump to me if it makes you feel good. I have posted repeatedly that I do not believe trump is a good choice for the reps to run for president. He is to tainted by all the controversy and if elected it will just be a rerun of the dems investigating and a never ending drive for more impeachments. This will impede any chance at governing. It would be much better to move on to a different less beat up candidate.

Yawn...I have never said trump was my guy. I voted against him in 2016 voting for Gary Johnson. I voted against biden in 2020, which meant yes, I voted trump in 2020. I am not supporting him in 2024.
