My guess...and I can't prove this at this time cause it takes a deeper dive into the demographic data...this measure lost not because Democrats opposed it...but because Republicans didn't approve of it and didn't come out...for a one topic election. Understanding these things is critical to learning how to fight a system.

What is interesting...is the counties surrounding solid Democratic conclaves...were pulled along. The suburban vote. These counties voted Trump. Soundly. Twice. Compare the 2016...2020 Presidential Election result with the map posted above.

I'm not moving the goal posts. We have made progress. And we will continue to do so. Converting someone just means having a discussion and pointing out differences between parties. Your discussion doesn't do that. Nobody is convinced by your whining.

Adding - winning this special election isn't meant to recruit people to the party. This election was specifically meant to defeat opposition so they the November vote could proceed. The November Amendment vote is proactive.
