Here at Seadog Manor, we do things very differently.
We have Homemade Meatball Subs for supper.
We usually have between 15 to 25 people here on Christmas, and everyone rolls and spices their own meatballs.
Locally raised beef and sausage with my MIL's homemade tomato sauce that she puts in mason jars in the fall.
It's fun to watch the nieces and nephews be covered in sauce and cheese.

There is no 'standard' for Christmas like turkey on Thanksgiving.
in my youth, I was part of a large extended family and Christmas day was mostly spent visiting and being visited. Mostly everyone just put out plates of cold meats (beef, turkey, ham, salami, etc.), vegetable plates, breads, cookies and cakes of various sorts and you'd grab bites as you visited around.
At that time, Chinese restaurants didn't really exist in my area so we saw that on television and it was simply an interesting oddity to us.
As an adult, a ham was the closest thing to a standard.

What are the most common accompaniments and desserts?
My family tend to do a ham plus beef, but IIRC roast potatoes aren't common stateside, only mashed (yet not called mash? Really?)
I know mince pies, Christmas pudding and UK-style dense boozy Christmas cake are rare, so what do you have after the main course? Pecan pie? More pumpkin pie?

Baked potatoes are common in the US. Often eaten with steak (or the prime rib I eat on Christmas Day).
You’re not going to get any agreement on desserts. It can be absolutely anything.

In our extended family, it was mincemeat pie. Christmas was the only time we saw it. Pumpkin pie for the kids and adults who didn't care for the spiciness.
