Here's your chance to get an insight into the real me....and mock the shit out of me.

This is a radio interview I did back in 2017 about my first two erotic horror novels and some writing in general.

I did post this in a thread a few years ago, but rather than resurrect a zombie thread-that had link issues because of lits format- I figured I'd repost seeing that in the time since I first posted this we have so many new regulars.

I didn't want to do this interview because like most writers I'm happy to hide in the shadows and do my thing, not to mention I'm a lousy speaker and don't like having a microphone in my face(and camera's even worse) but as always the wife pushed me to get out of my shell and give it a shot.

My saving grace here is the guy doing the interview is a worse speaker than myself who ums everything to death. But Max is a cool guy who travels to all the comic and horror cons in NE looking for people to interview.

I'm up first and because I know this is inevitable...I have an RI accent, not a Boston accent. There's a difference if you live in the area. However, neither MA or RI seems to know what an R is.

Have at it Trolls.

Very cool, it’s a shame you’re not crazy for speaking because I think Lit could totally use a podcast. I think you did a pretty good job with your interview flow. I’ll check out your books because they seem like something I’d enjoy reading.

I won’t bust your balls for your accent… that much—record an audio clip saying Pepperidge Farm for me. 😝

Thx for sharing the interview. It was cool and inspiring. I’ll check out Abigail when I can, it sounds awesome.

FWIW I heard LC's voice and was relieved by the soft sounds compared to the interviewer guy. I guessed LC as having one of those nice educated-sounding accents from somewhere round Boston, so good to know I was in the right ballpark. Pleasant voice, may try decoding it.

Where's the interviewer from, btw?

Modesty doesn't suit you, you know... You did pretty well in the interview, and you were surprisingly fluent for a guy who doesn't do these things often ;)

The entire time I kept repeating in my head, take your time and don't sound like a moron...take your time and....

What about his accent? Obviously, I can't discern the subtleties as a native speaker would.

His voice is surprisingly soft and boyishly pleasant. I always knew he is just an ultra-sensitive nerd.

I agree, he's got a great tone, and I’m only teasing that his accent is very distinct. Just hassling him a bit, all in good fun. 😁 There's a few places that are pretty prominent here for accents in the States and RI is one of them... though I can't much tell the difference between it and Boston, I guess RI doesn't sound as… harsh as a Boston accent?

Max is originally from PA, he moved to Boston with his girlfriend when she had a great job offer.
