I just don't know what all this fuss is about. Child-sacrifice goes back as far as human history. For Example, the Canaanites sacrificed children to their god Baal to promote fertility. This horrified the ignorant, superstitious goat herders who were their neighbors at the time, just as it horrifies ignorant superstitious people today. Surely preserving a woman's right to reproductive healthcare by sacrificing the occasional child is at least as valid a reason for child-sacrifice as appeasing some imaginary dieity.

I wouldn’t call being pregnant “work”. It’s hard, often unpleasant, sometimes dangerous, but feels more like something you’re enduring, rather than something you’re doing. Taking care of the baby after its born, that’s work.
