Sure, this works. One could do a pseudo-historical story about the woman and create an elaborate backstory about her surreptitious liaisons with the fairer sex. Perhaps a love story with the wife of a local nobleman who was forced to marry, by her father. Add a lusty chambermaid or serving girl and you've got a story.
