it is how you create the album you put it in. I do private but anyone with a link can access. then you can share the images, but the album is not public which may be a terms violation with the kinds of things we post.

edit to add, you can also click the pencil on the existing album, to change, then click the existing image and c for the embed codes

no, have an album set with viewable by link, then just share the link for the picture itself or use the embed code for the picture itself.
