^^^I had a unique experience this morning.
I was curbstomping an Timmeh-class MAGAt today, noting that the "per capita" rate of violent crimes in Boebert's district was higher than NYC's rate.
He, of course, hurr-durred immediately and said "lookee at the OVERALL numbers". I told him that didn't account for population differences, and how per capita made more sense.
Usually, this is when they start going "GO FUCK YOURSELF" but this guy asked ChatGPT to man-splain why absolute numbers trumped per capita numbers. Got a lot of words salad in reply, basically "population density is not linear in a given city limit, ergo their might be statistical outliers which would make the per capita rate seem smaller, so SOME SCIENTISTS think absolute numbers give a better understanding of an issue than a 'per capita' number.
Derp, derp, derp.
Delusions of grandeur are a symptom.
