Nice to see you back @mlvis00Hello, everyone!
I was offline for a week. Struggling with burnout at work, unfortunately.
I hope everyone has a beautiful and productive start to the week.
Much love to y'all![]()
No new soles this time. The both heels of my pretty spring boots had one part peeled off, so needed to fix that. What is he resoling (spelling??)
That sounds like unsolved issues in your mind/life/work (pick 1-3).Feeling better now, yes.
Well, I said "burnout" but to be honest, it wouldn't be my first time, and this week was nowhere near the last time it happened to me. At that time I did pay a visit to my therapist.
Fortunately, my workload is almost zero, and this week I'm staying at home. Last week was exceptionally hard though
I'm taking it easy![]()
I feel for you working people, still have to put with that crap! But don't retire, it also sucks, I've been bored shitless for 6 years now.Definitely, I needed it. Glad to come back![]()
I used to sleep great. I miss those days. The past few years have been rough.I usually get at least 5 hours. Haven’t had one of these nights in awhile. Im enjoying the early onset of delirium, but also terrified about it. It always gives me flashbacks to so many nights of my youth, where you’re suddenly faced with the fact that the sun has come up but you have yet to go down.
A kind of trauma backlash you mean?I'd say rather 3. I quit my job a couple of years ago, after several episodes of unfair treatment (especially after the pandemic). I found a better position in a different place, I'm still there now, and everything was going smoothly... until this week.
I think remembering all the stress from my last bad experience was not good. I hope not to return to the same point.
That's nice to hear. I wouldn't necessarily mind, I've struggled most of my career.I don't see myself retiring. Not yet, and I'm not sure about the future either. I love what I do. But from time to time there's who ruins it a bit![]()
My asthma med prescription was just switched from one that is taken every morning and evening to one that is taken in other mornings only - in attempt to make me sleep better. We'll see how it goes... Haven't bought the new one yet as I have so much left of the old one.I used to sleep great. I miss those days. The past few years have been rough.
Well you won't change your mind about that job, then. Possibly at most about whether you had only one reason, or other ones as well.Oh, definitely it's the work then. I talk with my coworkers often, and we've been the same.
Yeah, maybe I could change my mind in the future, but not for now.
I didn't see it coming either, but it was necessary at the time, even at 69 I'd go back in the workforce in a heartbeat!I'd say rather 3. I hope it helps!!My asthma med prescription was just switched from one that is taken every morning and evening to one that is taken in other mornings only - in attempt to make me sleep better. We'll see how it goes... Haven't bought the new one yet as I have so much left of the old one.
Me too! It seems I usually don't sleep deep for a few hours after taking my old med... That's why I wanted to change.I hope it helps!!
My experience is quite different since I retired. The first was an adjustment but I had a plan to do consulting and that was fun and kept me busy. After my wife passed, my daughter and her children have kept me busy and I am active in meetup groups and volunteering so definitlely not bored. Retirement like life, is what you make it.I feel for you working people, still have to put with that crap! But don't retire, it also sucks, I've been bored shitless for 6 years now.

You can volunteer and do meet ups? Again, up to you and no judgement. Just presenting an alternative to those considering retirement. You have Family, I do not, only wifey
You know, if Strixaluco ever made a comment to me or answered me, I'd, in real life, Drop Dead! You have Family, I do not, only wifey
After this (last) move, we will be were we want to be, and I'll apply to be a driver for the senior bus, or transport. Can't do meet ups, wifey is too jealous. You can volunteer and do meet ups? Again, up to you and no judgement. Just presenting an alternative to those considering retirement.
What can we do to help? Coffee, tea, espresso, capacino, hot chocolate?I don’t wanna actually go into the office the next three days.!
Then don't, do you get time off?I don’t wanna actually go into the office the next three days.!
Some mysteries get to remain a mystery. Then don't, do you get time off?
I have a question; are you M or F, I can't tell from your Avatar?
