Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

they are surprisingly resilient. I had 5 stitches put in my eyelid (a tarp strap S-hook stab through the lid)
Also had a muscle cut loose and reattached to correct a double vision issue.
Oh, I know my eyes are resilient. I just don’t think I can get through a surgery when they clamp my eyes open and I see them coming at me like that.

On the flip side, I’ve woken up during surgery and was super calm. The mind is a bizarre thing 🤷‍♀️

I hear ya. I was awake for the stitches, only the 5th one actually hurt. I was also 5 years old, and still remember it 27 years later.

I had eye surgery on a growth on my eyelid, the worst bit for me was the anaestheticanaesthetic eye drops they put in, it stings like hell. I kept closing my eyes so the drops rolled down my face, right side of my face was numb for hours 🤣 .
When the scalpel came near I rolled my eyes, which freaked the doc, she said are you OK, I just told her I was fine I just didn't want to see the scalpel. But when it gets close you can't focus on it. I've had this done 3 times now and still hate the drops.
My wife had a Caesarean where the anaesthetic didn't work and she felt everything 😲 so much pain she couldn't speak !!!!

Good morning!

Damn, I was too slow coming here, missed Nebs. I've been awake for an hour after all...
