There are other image hosting sites out there but most are 'clunky'. Will look around and may consider transferring everything to a DropBox account or OneDrive.

If anyone can suggest alternatives, I'm sure it would be welcomed by many of us here.

Shortly after the whole Photobucket blackmail fiasco and then Tumblr going all prim and proper I purchased some web hosting from Hostinger.
I "made" my website using their simplest template but there is nothing there. wifechangedhermind.com

Recently jaF0 accused me of wrongdoing by hosting my own images on his thread - Primarily Picture Threads will be gradually reduced.
I only use it for storage. When I tried explaining that in the last reply, he promptly deleted my response then closed the thread.
Seeing that using Lit server space is frowned upon I thought I was going about it in the correct manner.

So forewarned. It's happening here also. At least in his fiefdom - Fetish & Sexuality Central.
The other mod's don't seem all that concerned or at least they are not actively deleting threads.
e.g. Rimming! which he recently closed (see the last reply).

At any rate, I signed up for a 4 year plan and it worked out to about $40 a year.
Was just tired of losing my images and links using free sites.

I've this pendulum theory (which by no means is original) as to how this all is coming to an end. Like how the free love swinging 60's gave way to an increasingly lame 70's and all the more lamer 80's. Granted there are great aspects to both decades but there was an increased degree of sexual conservatism. This isn't happening just on Lit. It's happening across the whole social spectrum where the nature of course goes something like this:

A new liberating thing comes about. a bunch of people jump on board (yay! this is the future! we are free!).

A bunch of people get burned or screwed over (boo! I was hurt and so was my friend! something must be done to keep this from happening to others!!!).

Oversight committees are established and laws are passed/enforced.

The liberated go radio silent underground.

Transgressors for whom were responsible of hurting others become evangelical in persecuting the liberated--because in the end it was all about them being in power and if they can't be awesome #1 in a liberated world then maybe they will be in the world of persecution.

Social/personal stagnation comes about.

New fandangled mode of self expression and liberation bubbles up from below.

wash. rinse. repeat.
