Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

I find the cultural differences between countries so fascinating. I love the idea that colleges are meant for study and education only. Somehow the recreational aspects of a college education here took off to become big business.

Our national teams only get attention around the Olympics otherwise it is regional sports team.
One more difficerence: we have nothing called colleges in my country. We have vocational education - usually already as an option to high school, seldom after it, universities of applied sciences and science universities. All separately.

Here national teams have international matches and tournaments every now and then. Not just WC and Olympics.

Some local teams compete on European level as well as national, especially football (soccer for you), basketball, volleyball.

From your experiences, where did you get the best coffee served to you and the worst? I will start: the best coffee was a small town diner when I started working out of college. I never knew the brand of coffee but at 7 am, it tasted great. The worst was Starbucks at the airport. Actually all Starbucks coffee tastes burnt.
Best coffee I ever had was when my family took a vacation to Costa Rica.
Little coffee shop we stumbled on that was owned by a coffee grower, who used it not only as a testing ground but just to give people great coffee.
Everything was harvested and roasted within a couple weeks.
I’ve had as good since, but not better.

Worst was a Chicago hotel coffee at 3 am when I needed to get up for an early flight on another trip. I don’t know if it was even coffee. *shudders*

Totally agree...best coffee I ever had was on a trip in Costa Rica. So fresh and vibrant and delicious. I still buy Costa Rican beans because of it.
We were out in the middle of no where and lots of coffee farms all around us.

Mornings chaos

Probably my dads campfire coffee, specifically from our trips camping on the Buffalo river. Not sure it was the "best" but I do remember the taste 20+ years later.

Worst would be the cheap kona from my last job. It always tasted burned and bitter.

We have consensus that burnt and bitter is the worst coffee and some of that is the roasting, brew method and how long it sits on a burner.

I need to go to Costa Rica for the next experience. It is now on my bucket list.

Started reading various news articles and learned:
Finns are the happiest people in the world.
1 in 2 people under 30 have an STI.
The STI rate in the over 5O crowd fad doubled.
And don’t buy a car off Facebook as many stolen cars are sold there.
