Why no power?

Oh dear Nebs Google South African power problem. Normally I don’t have a problem but today is a problem or so it seems. I suppose I could go out my front door and enquire as to why the generator hasn’t come on but my phone is charged and my laptop is charged so i’ll Wait and see.

A friend of mine is in South Africa and the power issues and grid are very political and unpredictable. I am sorry you are going through this.

We have window screens, but I'm not familiar with filter fabric. We have central air, but I hate to turn it on in April. We definitely use it when the weather stays hot. There's something about having a nice breeze through the apartment in the spring, but I guess I have to weigh that against the pollen count.

You could add allergy filter to the screen. It's sold also by the meter, so you can cut and staple it, or I think some comes with velcro.

And now that we're talking about filters, I should actually buy some for the screens in this apartment, and check the venting crevices, too.

Mostly not a problem for me and many others I assume, those of us that can afford alternate power sources. I live in a 12 house estate and although it costs quite a bit to run the generator powers all 12 of us when the main power fails. All the shopping malls have alternate power the only issue is traffic lights

In Mi, the power infrastructure is so bad, that we almost always lose power in any kind of storm. The private but state regulated power company wants an 11% rate hike for those upgrades. Of course the outcry is deafening.
