Nicotine or sugar....neither is good...They were pretty much pure sugar .
Like I said, not good for anyone, tho the sugar in Boston Creme donuts is healthy when ingested with a large coffee. They were pretty much pure sugar .
Because parents are what they are today kids aren't either . Sad .If I was a kid in the 60s and 70s, that slide would look both terrifying and fun.
Nowadays, though, parents would freak out merely at the sight of something like that and there's no way a public park would allow something like that to be built.
They were popular in the 70's in the US and it wasn't gum, but a white candy. They were white with red tips, to portray the lit end of the cigarette. However, after the US government required cigarette makers to add cancer warnings to cigarette packages, they stopped being produced as people felt that they were a contributing factor in getting people to smart smoking.Never saw or heard about gum cigarettes for kids till now.
Bozo the Clown - in the 60's there was a TV character called Bozo the Clown. Very, very popular and everyone loved him. There were dolls of him that were sold at the stores and all sorts of other stuff with his resemblance on it that you could buy. Lots of kids had his stuff back then.
What a happy bunch they look
Patty Hearst?

He wasn't the scary type of clown that is now portrayed in movies or TV shows.

Some may say this is such a 60's design proposal but it forsaw a future of colour, texture and stylish utility which was never realised and now we have such bland, 'safe' style to our houses, its like we don't want to 'offend' anyone let alone express ourselves. I think it's an example of political correctness which has now pervaded our lives. The late 50's to early 70's promised the future while giving us a glimpse. The 80's/90's lost sight of the future. We now have politicians too busy looking after their arses (asses US) to consider our futures. Dare I say Trump and Putin represent the worst of them. Oooh this got spiteful quick didn't it!
I lived two blocks from where Patty and two of the SLA were hold up and were caught. They had the balls to spray paint the cover of the newspaper box on the corner with the seven headed cobra.Kidnapping victim.....she said .
