It did, finally. And I got the dress hemmed. But the machine seems to need maintenance. Some electrical issue, definitely not something I'd do myself.

The machines are so sophisticated now that they are impossible to maintain yourself! They are like a watch inside.

They have always been like watches. First mechanic, nowadays like computers. Mine is an embroidery machine, too, so it's indeed a computer.

I do also have an old sewing machine from 50's, but it's nor quite in working condition. Should buy a new leather belt for it, and then give a general maintenance.

I had to toss my old Singer years ago when the motor burned out in it. It was a tough old machine! Absolutely no bells and whistles on it though. Beyond basic!

Mom has an old Bernina, over 50 years old. It has finally gotten motor problems as well. But it was way better than many newer ones.

The old Singer was great for straight line stitching, but that was about it. I got a ton of use out of it though!

I just wish I had a barn or garage to set up a workshop in. It’s difficult only having the kitchen table to work at.
