It does smell good, but my dad also made soup, so there's that smell too. It's really easy to make, especially if you do like I do and leave the skins on. Red skins will make it turn out pink! Just needs to be blended once cooked. I add cinnamon and cloves.

It's nice for when it's hard to find fruit in the winter, and it freezes well.

I’ve never tried to make applesauce before … I don’t think I have the … patience? … energy. Something.

My aunt used to make apple butter all the time … omg.. on toast????? Best thing to put in your mouth.

Happens to me too Maggie, I haven’t seen one poof yet but then I haven’t really shown one either. Everything wild on Chaos always seems to happen when I’m In dreamland

I used to make applesauce every year when I had access to this wonderful heirloom apple tree whose apples made THE best applesauce. I think I still have a jar or two of that applesauce left. Gold.
And tbh apple butter seems more work to me.

I rarely try to catch up on chaos. It is what it is. I used to feel like I was missing out on things but it is part of the way chaos rolls. The thing I try to remember is that it is never intentional. No one is trying to make anyone feel bad folks in this thread are very supportive. Plus there are rarely poofed photos in this thread. As a general rule we keep it safe for work.

It's not about the photo, it's about how the page gets full of comments on any pic. I find it very stressful because of how uninclusive it can be.

I don't even like when I get a bunch of messages and comments on my photos, a like or love on it is plenty enough to let me know someone enjoyed it.

When a pic is posted and a bunch of comments start coming in on a thread I usually leave.

I hope this sounds kind and inclusive but this page can really fly sometimes even without photos. Things slowed way down when chaos undressed started but it seems like the pace is quickening here again. It’s a fun ride. I hope hiu enjoy it.

It's not so bad when you're not peeling them, that is the notorious time consumer. Rough chopping them is quick. Then the stove does the rest with an occasional stir.

Apple butter, now that takes longer, since it's applesauce reduced down by a lot.
