Trump to be Arrested Tuesday

A Twitter user asked Ms Daniels on Wednesday: “Are you still laughing @StormyDaniels You seem to have stopped tweeting obsessively about Trump but I’m sure you’re having the last laugh.”

“I’m sure I will. I’ve been handing over phone records to my attorney today (they’re gonna hurt!) and planning spring break activities with my kid. It was a wonderful day,” Ms Daniels said.

just getting this in before rumours run wild about bomb attacks on the courthouse :)
A wild scene from the “Joker” movie sequel is set to be filmed this weekend outside Manhattan Criminal Court — where a media circus has gathered awaiting a decision in the former president’s indictment.

The film shoot for “Joker: Folie à Deux” will feature faux explosions, 700 “protesters” and a possible appearance by Lady Gaga, who is starring in the flick along with Joaquin Phoenix and Robert DeNiro, according to NBC.
A movie crew was seen swooping in with a trailer and equipment near the courthouse Wednesday, and signs declared a film shoot will be taking over several blocks of street parking on Saturday and Sunday.

When this and the other indictments happen, we'll be able lock up more of the MAGAts after they get violent. They are powerless to control their obsession with the orange trust fund baby. Take away their keyboards and put 'em in jail along with the J-6ers.

Eventually they die out, just like the Tea Baggers did.

That why democrat liberals are a dying breed, true liberals believe in individual rights not overreaching government bureaucracy.
However, rightgudie does NOT believe in individual rights at all (If you read his posts you will see that.)
And judging by your posts neither do you.

You do have a point- and I agree with you here- that most people, including a growing number of moderate and liberal democrats, no longer believe that overreaching bureaucracy is a solution to how to run a government. But it cuts both ways. You see more and more conservatives wanting (for example) control of school libraries, to ban books, telling teachers that they can't teach about racism or black history, or that they can't teach that it's okay to be gay. You see more and more conservatives- including Rightguide and, well, you- who say that the government should have a right (and an OBLIGATION) to remove social freedoms because the free will of an individual should be subordinate to that of the State, and the State has an obligation to enforce a strict, draconian, and narrow version of "Morality." This is not how a free society works. It IS how many modern totalitarian governments- Iran, Saudi Arabia, North Korea, and Afghanistan- work.

The libertarian ideal of less government in personal lives is a noble one- libertarian rather than "liberal." Most of the modern conservatives- the rightward leaning ones, want a libertarian ideal to apply to the wealthy, well-connected and politically powerful, as well as to corporations and buisnesses. While at the same time, they want an ANTI-libertarian- totalitarian/fascist- ideal to apply to individuals and individual freedoms. For example this is the first generation since the 1950s that women now have fewer freedoms in the U.S. than the previous generation.

The popular vote doesn't mean shit in a U.S. presidential election.
Lest we forget, here you are responding to a comment about the degree of popular support for the Democrats (and specifically you falsely claimed that there were more Republican than Democratic presidents in the past 20 years - there have been two of each). While you are technically correct that the popular vote is irrelevant in a presidential election (NOT something I would brag about if that were the only way my party could win anymore, but I digress), the fact is the Dems consistently have received more votes than the Republicans every election but one for the past 30 years. So your claim that the Dems are "hated by too many Americans" just doesn't add up.

There's a Tuesday next week. Maybe y'all meant to say that he would be arrested on a Tuesday...

Trump Warns Of ‘Death And Destruction’ If He Is Charged In Hush Money Probe, Forbes, March 24, 2023

Former President Donald Trump claimed Friday “death & destruction” could follow if prosecutors in New York charge him in their ongoing investigation into hush money payments made by his former aide to adult film star Stormy Daniels—days after he called for his supporters to protest what he said was his imminent arrest.

There's nothing smart or admirable about being a progressive ill-informed enough to be pressing for special rights and overarching government control in a republic that values individual rights and states' rights.

But, but, he GOT A SPEEDING TICKET!!!!

The amount of ignorance on display when trying to compare a speeding ticket to a felony offense is incredible. It's worse when you consider the exculpatory evidence that's now showing up in the public conversation which the DA failed to inform the Grand Jury about (or even bother to consider before empaneling the Grand Jury) which PROVE that Trump didn't do the things he's accused of.

But the Progs just keep digging that hole they're in because they're not smart enough to put down the shovel.

I’m not a lawyer but I thought it was job of the defense to provide any exculpatory evidence at the actual trial. The Grand Jury only determines if there’s sufficient evidence for a trial. I didn’t think district attorneys normally did the defense’s work for them.

A prosecutor has a duty to only bring charges if they reasonably believe that they will get a conviction. That means the DA must consider all of the exculpatory evidence as part of the package because a failure to consider the defense evidence wouldn't be reasonable.

It's one thing to have a different interpretation on what the evidence means, but Bragg ignored the undeniable evidence that Trump didn't initiate or knowingly pay the money because Cohen admited that he did it on his own initiative in written documents signed by Cohen. Then Cohen admitted to double billing Trump for a generic "legal services" reason. That means Trump didn't try to hide it under a deceptive rubric for accounting and campaign expenses purposes. Bragg had that information yet decided to put Cohen in front of the Grand Jury anyway knowing Cohen would lie about Trump. This is straight up unethical conduct by a prosecutor.

The 2018 signed letter from Stormy avowing that she and Trump didn't have an affair is another piece of evidence which Bragg had prior to empaneling the Grand Jury. Yet the allegation is that Trump paid Daniels hush money to keep her from talking about their affair. Because Bragg knew there was a letter saying that Daniels and Trump didn't have an affair, the allegations he empaneled the Grand Jury to indict on are FALSE in that regard and any indictment would be based on a fraud perpetuated on the Grand Jury by Bragg.

These things aren't subject to interpretation based on conflicting evidence (whether the light was red or green depending on which witness you believe), they're straight up uncontroversial facts where Daniels specifically says in writing they didn't have an affair and Cohen says in writing that he paid the money out of his own pocket and then billed Trump for "legal services" rather than "settlement costs for NDA with Stormy Daniels."

It seems they will perpetuate any lie to dirty him up before the election. All they're doing is making him stronger. He should probably worry about what might happen next when they realize their propaganda program might be failing.

Kind of hard to do if the government is hiding it.
