I grew up with all of these older midwestern sayings that are stuck in my head like the blind hog, or widow maker snow or lead a Jackass to the watering trough but can't make him drink etc. I forget, I am not just in the midwest.

I just thought it was a blind hog finds a truffle, and a blind squirrel finds an acorn. But I also often say them wrong just because my warped sense of humor enjoys being a brat.

Was listening to Earth, Wind and Fire's "September" while making the muffins. Very distracting when the song makes me want to dance while baking.

I just thought it was a blind hog finds a truffle, and a blind squirrel finds an acorn. But I also often say them wrong just because my warped sense of humor enjoys being a brat.

My excuse is I am of vintage years and prone to forgetfulness.

Fortunately I am a good sport and have seen some awful (current team) , mostly good and a few great teams play in the past via Johny Orr, Fisher, and the best in Beillein.

I'm a Rutgers fan (actually, I went to two schools and Rutgers is my second- favorite team). I've seen a TON of awful basketball.

Whenever it came on a srreaming service or at a reception, my wife would jump up and say let's dance. Now it no longer brings sadness but smiles as the fond memories of us dancing together - happy times..
