We had some -20 last night and still -8 an hour ago (they give the official temps every full hour, haven't got my own thermometer installed yet).

From slush to the freezing? Yay... For winter bikers it's the most interesting weather.

I usually go by bike but I'll skip it today. It's safer with four wheels.

I usually go by bike but I'll skip it today. It's safer with four wheels.

Some are complaining here, too. This freezing period seems to last for a 2 weeks - and we've hade several warmer days periods during the the winter, so some were waiting for the spring already. Though it never comes straight forward if it starts early. Nor fast. The earlier it starts, the slower and more erratic it is, offering even "back winter", sometimes as late as around 1st of May.

I find interesting that we are all having some unusual winter weather. For us in the midwest, a mild January and snowy and icy February and now a snow, rain, thunder etc. day to day crazy weather. The news just reported 7 crashes on local but also expressway roads.
