Do you live in tornado alley? I was in OK once and they had like 2 in a row close by. Once in MI, there was a weird situation when sirens went off at 3 am, them noon, and then 10 pm of the same day. Nerves!!!! I empathasize.

Hope you're OK! A couple of friends of mine live near Fort Worth; they reported 70+ mph (113+ km) winds and some roofs torn off this evening. Their town was on The Weather Channel, which is NEVER a good sign!

My advice to them: If Jim Cantore shows up in town--RUN!!
