Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

My bag had been taken to safety! 🥳
Going to the tram pit in the afternoon to fetch it.

Gonna be a fragmented afternoon - home - pit - home (hopefully eating a little) - to downtown... No proper opportunity to nap and the way to the pit means unnice bus changes, so I'll be exhausted. But at least I don't stress anymore.
That's great news! :)
It makes me happy to know that most people are nice and helpful.

I think nobody had touched it, and the driver went through the tram, finding it, before starting the opposite journey.

But yes, most people are decent, honest, and even helpful.
When me and my wife (girlfriend at the time) were going on our first camping trip together, we stopped to look at the map to find a place to camp by a small gas station. We left and got to the place we found on the map. When we had put up the tent we were hungry. We then discovered that her hand bag was left at the gas station. It was not more than 7km. to drive, but it was quite nerve wrecking since she had all the money for the vacation (this was before the bank cards were used to pay with). The bag was still on the bench when we got there.

Up early due to sinuses again and steaming wet cloths on my face help. So its a Good Morning, Afternoon or Evening to you all. Dare I ask what I missed? No, let the day begin for me. Happy to read the lap top has been retrieved, more food related posts, and other random posts. I need love and my hot coffee:Need-Coffee-Love.jpg

Phew! I've forgotten my purse sometimes, but never with that much money!

I'm a big fan of bank/credit cards! If you loose the card it's just a phone call and your money is safe.
I am from a cash is king generation and NOW like Cogan said, I am now convinced the cards are the way to go. I like the multiple security checks you can build into them. One of my cards notifies me of any transaction over $50.

I got my first card when I was 16 and going to a language course in England for 2-3 weeks - we calculated it was cheaper to withdraw money from the ATM than use traveler's checks.

I barely remember my mom using cheques when I was a kid. Until there was a fee attached to using cheques... And nowadays only bank cheques are used at all here (I've used them 1-2 times when buying/selling an apartment). I was very surprised to need a chequebook in France 22 years ago for the paying rent etc!

That is very interesting especially about international norms. I learn something new here every day!😲

I stopped writing checks when I developed essential tremors 3 years ago. No one could read my handwriting! I laugh at my disability as my handwriting is now worse than that of a doctor. I pay bills through electronic funds transfer, debit cards or credit cards. Some of my peers refuse to use secure electronic payment and only pay by check. Of course, they have time and great handwriting.

And here teens are more likely to pay with Google cash or some things similar than even a card! I use an app when buying pre-loved things from private people, and also online of possible, so that I don't need two give ny card information to the shop (like using PayPal, but using phone number as the username). But in ordinary stores I find card to be faster.

Checks are definitely less secure than electronic payments. That's why they were phased out here already on the 80's.

Story time.......

1986. Instead of senior prom, I went to the Metallica/Ozzy concert. I got thrown out by the cops for dropping to the floor from the lower balcony during intermission. Apparently, they don't let you do that. I bought another ticket from some guy outside selling off his spare ticket. It was a floor seat. Best concert ever.

Afterwards, me and Mouse went to see Rocky Horror picture show at the late night arts theatre on acid. I don't remember much about it except wondering why some guys were wearing fishnets.

After that, I went drag racing in my old 65 Mustang over there on Emerald street in Dallas. It was about 1am and after my race, the cops moved in and we all bugged out of there. I dropped off Mouse and picked up my coworker Rob.

We did a little more acid and gave this gal Hannah a ride home. Real cute woman who was needing help getting her hubs out of jail. She had a deal on some stolen Rolex watches that I helped move for her that year. She wanted out of there. Smart girl. She didn't want to be hanging out with a couple guys on acid. It started getting foggy so we went to this park to hang out.

After about 15 minutes these jocks fresh from the prom from my hs came rolling in. One of them owed me money for some weed I fronted him. He got fussy about it and started a fight and lost. I was bigger than most jocks and had lots of fighting experience since my freshman year.

We left quickly afterwards as fighting always seems to draw police and I wanted nothing to do with them. I dropped off Rob and went home. My friend Schwartz came over after he was done with prom and we hung out the rest of the day watching A. Nightmare on Elmstreet (on acid is a crazy show) until I fell asleep around 6am.
Sounds like a great night! All I did on mine was go to a stupid dance and have sex with my boyfriend for the first time.
