I agree when it’s an end of life decision. Otherwise it’s still a case of what’s best for the patient whether they’re rational or not.

Unless there’s legal documentation, patient is deemed to be mentally unstable, patient is incapable to make decisions on their own. Doctors have to go by what the patient wants done.
