Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

I think people are evenly divided between "I miss my hometown/state/country" and "Fuck that place, I'm glad I escaped". I'm in the second category myself.
I am totally with you on this one - glad I escaped. I never felt like I was in the "right" place - never quite felt comfortable in my skin until I found Cascadia.... this place is "my dirt" - where my soul belongs. I feel so lucky to be able to live in the place that is my soul's home.

Catching up is the voluntary 😘
And here’s me that thought it was mandatory. What am I going to do at 10:30am with my coffee at work?

I miss my hometown, everyone is there (except my partner 😃). I was supposed to be there this weekend but work canceled my London trip that was next week. Problem for me is I have a really good job here and great people (there are exceptions 🤣) and I met the LOML here. But I do miss many aspects of it.
I mean I miss my home town and the homelyness of it but I don’t miss the fucking weather
I don’t miss the gloomy grey short days during winter but I do miss the snow and cold. Funny fact, we went to Stockholm over Christmas and I thought my partner would hate it (she had only been for summer) she loved it. I did tell her the novelty would wear off if we move there but she says it magical and I mostly agree 😃

I was born in Toronto. A real City boy. I lived there until I was 18, and went to a smaller town to go to University. I got a job in an area where the biggest town had a population of 10,000. I now live in a small town who's population is supposedly 12000, but I thiink that includes every cow, pig, chicken, goat and sheep in the area.

I could not live in a city of 6 million (Toronto plus its surrounding municipalities, collectively known as the Greater Toronto Area, GTA). Even that little University town exploded from just around a quarter million to 350,000 plus.

I like living in the country and I love getting away from this tourist town to a much smaller tourist town...

So I wanna start a pole.
What alcohol (if you drink) makes you crazy horny??
Zero for me.

I was in my late teens when I discovered I could do bold and stupid shit without needing a drink to encourage me, followed by the realization that, for me at least, alcohol didn't sooth any of the wounds of life. My general disposition is easy going and happy.

Consequently, I don't really drink (maybe three or four times a year I'll have a beer, or a glass of wine, or a mixed drink with dinner or good company).

As for crazy horny - that comes naturally. :)

I think you wanna start a poll. Unless you're looking for volunteers to get up on the pole and discuss what drink makes them horny :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: (Yeah, I'm a smartass)

I am a whisky drinker. It does not affect me like that...but get a couple of cocktails in me? Game over. G&T, Daiquiri, Margherita, Whisky Sour, Old Fashioned (especially a port old fashioned), Dark and Stormy...yeah...I think I need a Martini...

Beer and a shot of scotch. One or the other won't do it by themselves. Together though. 😈

It's like it makes it easy to forget about all the things that stress me out. I wouldn't need to get stinking drunk off it or anything. Just one or two rounds will do it.

All this talk of homes & family's and comradery has got me feeling a little down right now. I've lost a bit of my humor, so I'm going to do something unusual an be quiet. You'll know when I feel better. Rj
