Too flat, no mountainsI love Kansas. Beats the hell out of my home state of Missouri these days.![]()
I like that. I find the flat openness very soothing. I've always said Kansas has plenty of things to see. The key is, you have to not look for it.Too flat, no mountains
Sorry for answering but, that looks delicious! This is a traditional Shrovetide bun. Well, the original would have almond paste inside, but many opt for raspberry jam instead - my Dom included. In addition to whipped cream, of course! Actually the bun is an ordinary bun, it's the fillings that make it for this special occasion
The thing is, I haven't eaten these go years, because I haven't ever met a decent gluten free bun - whether homemade or store-bought. But now I got a good oneUncharacteristically bought a frozen dough. Good enough even for those who don't need gluten free.

I grew up outside of St. Louis, lived in the city for a couple of years. All the white people in St. Louis hyperventilate about crime constantly, but if you use common sense, your chances of being a victim of violent crime is almost zero. I lived 2.5 years in St. Louis city and I never feared for my safety. Are U in St Loo?
Sleep well, little owl!I'm heading to the dreamland. Good night! (See, @B2fromA2looking4U - before midnight though it's Friday!)
That is how I feel about leaving Portland almost 30 years ago.I left Missouri over a decade ago, and every day, Missouri gives me more reason to thank my stars that I did.
Is it possible to be bothI think people are evenly divided between "I miss my hometown/state/country" and "Fuck that place, I'm glad I escaped". I'm in the second category myself.
