They call it that, but NZ is four hours ahead of the Home Islands. Eastern Australia and Papua New Guinea are also ahead of Japan.

It is a favorite activity and the king tides happen during 1 or 2 months each year and give us amazing conditions. The tides can be extremely high or low.

Yes. You are closer to New Zealand by 3 hours than me or PG is (because we are on the west coast). However.... NZ is many many hours ahead of anyone in the US - 18 hours ahead of
you (21 hours ahead of me in Cascadia)

Ummm, CA is 6700 miles from NZ and The east coast is 8900 so I think we are closer but Nebs is closer in what time it is.
