Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

Hey everyone, please spare a thought for my Dad if you can. :) He suffered something in the area of a ministroke/TIA on Sunday. I've been overseeing his care the last few days and he's in rehab now. Doing fairly well for almost 96, given the circumstances, but he does have a bit of a ways to go yet.
Dad was doing very well Wednesday and Thursday, but he had a bit of a setback on Friday. He got transferred to another hospital, and he seems to be doing better. Friday was his birthday, and I felt so bad that it happened then. But he'll probably get back pretty close to 100%. He's even more hardheaded than me, and that's saying something! ;) Talked to him a few minutes ago and he was sounding better.

Thanks to everyone for your support. Dad has a ways to go, but he's making incredible progress for a man of almost 100. ❤️

I'm not sure how those terms relate to our system... But the accumulation means what I've earned so far by working. What you get just because you are old, is minimal, and I already get past that anyway so it won't concern me.

Though at this age I can only get the pension if I am considered too sick to work, of course. (Just the amount is then defined by my accumulation.) Otherwise there's no pension until you are at least 60.

There's a site in English about our pension system, if you are that much interested.
The link answered my question. I'm not that interested in the details of public pensions; I don't understand them any more than any other layman. ;)

Sometimes even tiny things help. Like my cat demanding food = had to get up from the sofa - and then it was easier to get myself into action on he balcony as well.

But now some hot 🍵 - it was cold out there!
Sometimes it's overcoming the inertia that's the hardest part of a task.

Actually I took a nap and a break too. I am now really awake and ready to visit with friends as we plan our trip to Glacier National Park this August.
That's exciting! I'm sure you will have a fantastic time.

Here is my morning cuddle buddy.
Oh my word.🥰
And trying to convince you with the open-eyed snoring. 🤣

Pleased to hear that he's making progress, VV. 🌷

Well I just got home from Mass. With Lit on my mind, while there I was reminded of the time years ago I was instructed to attend Mass in a short dress with no panties and it put a smile on my face. 😇

I have ribs slow cooking for dinner and was just about to curl up on the sofa and start a new book once I lurk around here a bit longer.
I recall my first Mass, in 1991.. my guard unit called up for the war, went to Mass with an Irish boy. Priest very serious, reading in English. Then, a bell above him dings, he looks at me with a shit eating grin.......the wine was just changed to blood! Masses at Notre Dame and St Patrick's in NYC were majestic.

I have a chronic lack of dopamine, causing lack of initiative and focus. So for me it's a constant problem, even if I have energy. It's easier if I have company - I even tend to start fussing around during phone calls. About 30min, and it starts.

I’m just very thankful for infinite forgiveness. I like mass and try to focus, but I admit there was an occasional drift to a sexting session from this morning.
