Proving Masks Are Useless

If your entire study is about effectiveness and you don't include effectiveness against harm, you're truly not being comprehensive
Uh huh..if a study doesn’t conform to a particular narrative it’s not comprehensive. Gotcha.

Physical interventions to interrupt or reduce the spread of respiratory viruses

What's your point? Poor studies are poor studies?

Come on Boomer, you can find better crap reports than this one to use....

Authors' conclusions

The high risk of bias in the trials, variation in outcome measurement, and relatively low adherence with the interventions during the studies hampers drawing firm conclusions.
Many studies were conducted during non‐epidemic influenza periods. ( IE of the 78,"many" are from Influenza, which means before COVID).
Health Care RCT of 12 only 2 are in a health care setting. (The risk of bias for the RCTs and cluster‐RCTs was mostly high or unclear.)

So to paraphrase, a meta study of poorly collected and controlled data, shows no results....colour me surprised....

coming from you, the irony is delicious, but it brings up a broader point: People tend to seek out narratives that reinforce their beliefs, even if it means fringe beliefs seek out fringe (and often discredited) sources to reinforce those beliefs. You do this. A lot of people do this. What is needed is an unbiased and unobjective narrative, in this case are, or are not, masks effective on spreading the disease.

The consensus of these unbiased and unobjective studies are this: Masks have been proven to stop the spread of disease. But mostly, they stop YOU from giving it to other people, more than they stop other people from giving it to you.

AT A GLANCE

  • The most rigorous and comprehensive analysis of scientific studies conducted on the efficacy of masks for reducing the spread of respiratory illnesses — including Covid-19 — was published late last month. Its conclusions, said Tom Jefferson, the Oxford epidemiologist who is its lead author, were unambiguous.
  • “There is just no evidence that they” — masks — “make any difference,” he told the journalist Maryanne Demasi. “Full stop.”
  • But, wait, hold on. What about N-95 masks, as opposed to lower-quality surgical or cloth masks?
  • “Makes no difference — none of it,” said Jefferson.

This study was literally the first post of this thread, dipshit.

yes, dirtbag

but your ELK screamed the FREE BEACON

now the NYSLIME says so

so start BLEATING
You didn't read the other replies and certainly not the study....nor the comments from the NYTimes opinion piece.

The study doesnt actually say what the NYTimes piece asserts. The atuhor is full of shit ....and that doesn't matter where his opinion piece was nor who copied it and spread it to dipshits like yourself.

Ask your doctor, they'll help you out with that...may give you some much needed meds as well 👍

Honestly, Bob, from the comments on NYTimes sums the study up perfectly:

Wow, masks don't work if people don't wear them? Incredible finding!
