As Donald Trump's second reelection bid begins to pick up steam in the new year, details about the former president's plans for his return to the White House have begun to emerge — including a new report from Rolling Stone, which alleges Trump has begun polling his advisers on whether or not he should bring back firing squads, hangings, and even the guillotine should he win in 2024.
According to two sources, the former president has even begun exploring the possibility of group executions, with a third person claiming Trump has expressed interest in a government ad campaign to highlight the administration's lethality and, per Rolling Stone's source, "help put the fear of God into violent criminals." A Trump campaign spokesperson denied the former president had plans for an execution ad campaign in a statement to Rolling Stone.

the spokesperson referred Insider to Trump's 2024 campaign announcement in November. During that speech, Trump was heard calling for the death penalty for anyone who "gets caught selling drugs."

At a rally in September, Trump also urged Congress to immediately institute the death penalty for drug dealers. This is despite Trump himself having granted pardons to people who served time for drug trafficking charges.

Trump ended his term in office with a raft of federal executions — his administration executed 13 people between July 2020 and January 2021. Trump's administration also amended the federal execution protocols before he left office, charting a path for the government to use poison gas and firing squads in future executions.

Stupid people would kill a person for smoking pot if they could

From the article which doesn't name any source:

"A Trump spokesman denies Trump had mused about a video-ad campaign. “More ridiculous and fake news from idiots who have no idea what they’re talking about,” the spokesman writes in an email. “Either these people are fabricating lies out of thin air, or Rolling Stone is allowing themselves to be duped by these morons.”

"They then went on toe explain how Trump was the best and sexiest President ever and how he caused world peace and solved world hunger. Also, Trump will be working with George Santos on his campaign"

Trump wants revenge on the damage done to Don Jr. by cocaine. It's a hella drug.

I presume the death penalty would cover instigating a coup and telling your followers to fight like hell in the coup attempt. In most countries that would, in fact, result in immediate execution if you didn't pull it off.

When people tell you who they are, believe them.

The media has had a tendency to excuse Trump's antics as just Trump being Trump--a funny joke to laugh at. I've always taken him at face value. He and his followers are violent fascists who would gladly ship their enemies off to death camps.
Exactly the problem. People DO need to take him seriously, as the threat to democracy, civil society, liberty, and human rights that he is.
And yes, instigating a violent coup against the United States Government is treason, as defined in the Constitution, and should be dealt with as such- and should be liable for the death penalty.

Under NO CIRCUMSTANCE should he be allowed to hold any public office again, and again- THIS IS DEFINED IN THE CONSTITUTION. 14th amendment. Even Hisarpcanhelp1 should understand that, if he is a fan of the Constitution.

I do not think drug dealers should be executed. I want marijuana to be legalized. I do think rapists should be executed, even if they were elected to the presidency.

If the drug dealer’s sales are fentanyl and results in the death of his victim or victims then it’s murder and yes prosecute to the fullest extent of the law, and if the death penalty is on the table then by all means.

I hate Trump. I want him to end his life in prison, in debt, and in disgrace.

My racism consists of, and is limited to, evaluating blacks by the same standards I use in evaluating whites, and not making excuses for them if they do not.

Your racism is racism. You don't get to define what is already defined.

I don’t believe you know exactly why you despise Trump, and if you do, then you should have the same animosity towards Hillary and Joe, but you don’t, that makes you a partisan hypocrite.

Most of these leftists cannot define or produce evidence of any crimes he's committed that would rise to the level of their hate for, and prejudice against him. Like dogs that snap at water, they have a rabid phobia.

Engleman is a leftist?

God damn, you're an imbecile.

if they do not what? you, like most poorly educated racists, lost your train of thought.

During the Republican primary of 2016 I wanted Trump to win the Republican primary. This was not because I thought he would be easy for Sanders or Hillary Clinton to defeat in the general election. I voted for Sanders in the primary, and I voted for Hillary in the general election.

It was because in the 2016 primary Trump posed as someone who cared about those who had been left behind by the economic changes of the twenty first century. Someone described Trump as "a third party candidate running as a Republican."

I even read somewhere, it might have been on Literotica, that Trump said that he would raise taxes on the rich "so high that my rich friends wont talk to me any more."

One of the first things he did as president was to cut taxes for the rich. The next time he visited his Mar-a-Lago Club he told his rich friends, "I just made you a lot richer."

Before this I was willing to excuse Trump's graphic flaws of character, intellect, and personality. Afterwards I was no longer willing to make excuses for him.

To the best of my knowledge Trump is the first presidential candidate of one of the two major parties who has refused to concede that he lost.
