My dad comes from merica so it was always him with his inches for anything size related. Tbh he has become enlightened in his old age. And as for wind measurements, in sailing we use knots, no metric there, even boat length is feet (mostly).

It is not that difficult to switch from mile to km as I grew up on the Canadian border and have traveled to Toronto etc. Sometimes the recipes get fun when switching between volume and weight measurements.

Miles to km is easy to do mentally but Nm to km is x 1.858 not as easy

Sounds awesome. Coffee cake rules. And with Apples! I dont do a lot of baking but may best is Swedish Apple Pie.

It’s 17C (62.6F, googled ) so we are not boiling, can’t tan either and the pool is full of leaves . So I am on Lit.

Wow, I'm impressed (I don't impress easily) I'm jealous as I've never traveled, don't even have a passport. I worked for an international tech book publishing co., that didn't allow me to travel. I ran membership, I couldn't leave, too important I guess. I did that for 30 years & retired! That went over well. I didn't think they would let me
