Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

Not really as kept getting spam texts throughout the night as I fogot to turn down the sound and change alerts to sleep settings.
Are spam texts an issue there? Here companies are only allowed to advertise via sms if you explicitly agree to it. Meaning it doesn't really happen.

My phone goes to sleep mode automatically. It even reminds me that it's late already when it happens (the screen goes b&w so it's very visible).

Yes unfortunately spam texts are. I am going to download an app to screen them out. My sleep mode should have activated but sometimes after a phone upgrade it does not. I need to reactivate it.

I'm going to assume, that this lit messages go thru your cell. I don't have a cell anymore, don't need one. I get these thru my iPad, much simpler. I like simple.🤗
Wifey's got a cell

@B2fromA2looking4U I messed up with the units. You said the other day how you had 50mph wind and I told you we don't have quite that. Well... It turns out we had just that around here that day, and the archipelago on southern and western coast had even 50% more in the worst gusts.

Just forgot it's not about km/h when talking about wind but m/s (meters per second).

Flipping back and forth between metric and british units is difficult. I can do that and had to all the timw when working with scientists and engineers. I get lazy in retirement.

We don't really need to do that much here, it's all metric. And I can do the miles to km approximately in my head. Just even between km/h and m/s it takes a while. Especially if you forget that one figure is per second and the other per hour 😂

My dad comes from merica so it was always him with his inches for anything size related. Tbh he has become enlightened in his old age. And as for wind measurements, in sailing we use knots, no metric there, even boat length is feet (mostly).
