Oh just me and you and all our personalities.With each other or you?
Sorry I don’t do men. Maybe fun Phoenix will oblige but I wouldn’t be too hopeful.Oh just me and you and all our personalities.
Why’s anyone need a title? Just be ones self.Rj - I think this has been answered a half dozen times already, but here is my extra long response:
Domme= Dominatrix --> female dominant
Dom= Dominant --> usually indicates male dominant
However, individual relationships vary. You may call your wife Dom, or your Dom. No one is gonna tell you that's wrong. Your marriage your preferences. She can have you call her My Grand Mistress Peach for all we know (and no, we do not need to know tyvm).
In non D/s relationships "Dom" may just be a shortened version of the male name "Dominic" and while I would be rather curious if boys named Dom/Dominic grow up to be Dominant in their relationships, it would be foolish to presume that they do.
On the BDSM board we have adopted a convention to make it easier to include everyone and their preferred Dominant or submissive titles in general discussion about the dynamic:
PYL= pick your label - capitalized = some version on the D/ side of the slash
pyl = pick your label - not capitalized = some version on the /s side of the slash
*steps down from my soap box and courtesies*
What if oneself is a 'slave'? ;-)Why’s anyone need a title? Just be ones self.

I wrote a whole long response to this, but for the good of neighbourly relations I will just say yes I am stoopid.I don't know! Are you calling yourself stupid?![]()

I didn't say anyone *needs* or *must* have a title. Some people feel they need or want to identify themselves in this respect, others do not. The question posed was about what the difference is between Domme and Dom.Why’s anyone need a title? Just be ones self.
Yep, all true. I identify as f’ing fabulous.I didn't say anyone *needs* or *must* have a title. Some people feel they need or want to identify themselves in this respect, others do not. The question posed was about what the difference is between Domme and Dom.
For some people, identifying themselves is a central to their self understanding as their skin color, georegion, religious or political beliefs, educational or class status, work or profession.
As always.... it's best to "be you" whatever or whoever that is. Right?

Very well put, Cas. How you identify yourself says a lot about who you are and what you're looking for. While title's aren't necessary for everyone, in a place like Lit it can help to find like-minded people with similar identities and interests.I didn't say anyone *needs* or *must* have a title.
