Stupid Boomer (aka 'Well Regulated Militia') Thread

Let's put that all into perspective in a nation of 340,000,000:

SLIP, TRIP AND FALL DEATH STATISTICS

  • Approximately 30,000 people die each year from injuries sustained in a fall
  • Every 19 minutes, an older adult dies from injuries resulting from a fall
  • Researchers project 59,000 older Americans, or 162 per day, will die as the result of a fall by the year 2030
  • Falls are the leading cause of preventable accident-related deaths for those 65 and older

So, shut the fuck up, the number is as insignificant as the ones I just posted.:rolleyes:

Your lie was a lie.
Fake, fabrication, falsehood.

More people die from being shot than being in road accidents in the US. And more people die from being shot than die in falls.

Do you have any more causes of death rarer than being shot? Try blunt force trauma and knives. They're rarer as well.
Covid is higher though, you can ask me about that if you want.

Interesting comparison, thanks.
I'm glad you agree with your own point that if grocery stores and escalator manufacturers can be held at fault for slip and fall injuries and deaths, so too should gun shops and gun manufacturers should be held at fault for some gun deaths.
Great point, Reichguide!

Why don't you prove your claim knives kill more people in the USA than rifles?

Nah, you'd rather stand looking like an asshole, than back up your own bullshit, so fuck off on your demands of others....

You do realize that this is a bullshit attempt to compare apples and oranges, yes?

For the record, grocery stores and escalator manufacturers are only held liable for the injuries they cause because of NEGLIGENCE. Either by not taking reasonable care in their procedures or via strict liability for faulty product manufacture.

So, unless the gun blows up in someone's hand, using it negligently instead of the way it's intended to be used isn't a product liability issue. Nor is the manufacturer any more liable for user negligence/misuse than GM/Ford/Chrysler/etc are liable for drunk/reckless drivers.

But you knew that and decided to be a fucktard anyway.

Lawyer: Admins were warned 3 times the day boy shot teacher

An attorney says a Virginia teacher who was shot by a 6-year-old student during class will sue the school district
this is insane! it could have been stopped!
Concerned staff warned administrators at a Virginia elementary school three times that a 6-year-old boy had a gun and was threatening other students in the hours before he shot and wounded a teacher, but the administration “was paralyzed by apathy” and didn't call police, remove the boy from class or lock down the school, the wounded teacher's lawyer said Wednesday.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/195325/murder-victims-in-the-us-by-weapon-used/

Total gun homicides 11,628
Knife homicides 1,035

The figures relating to rifles are misleading as many others are hidden within 'Firearms type not stated'. Gun murders are so common that many authorities don't even bother to record the type of gun used.

And before some mouth-breather raises the point, 'total gun deaths' includes accidents and suicides. Very few road deaths are homicides.

According to the 2nd Amendment, for the purpose of maintaining an ill-regulated militia 6yr olds have the right to bear arms.

You do realize that I was riffing off Reichguide's bullshit attempt to compare apples and oranges, yes?

Probably not because you're a fucking imbecile who never knows when to shut his ignorant trap.

You should just logout for good and disappear until we forget that your dumb ass ever existed.

Democrats want to ban rifles which kill far less American than Knives:

"According to the FBI, 1,604 people were killed by “knives and cutting instruments” and 374 were killed by “rifles” in 2016."

You conveniently ignore the figure of 'killed by firearm, type not stated'.

And then there’s this:

The Pistol That Looks Like A Rifle: The Dayton Shooter's Gun The gun used in Dayton has the same core component as an AR-15-style rifle. It also has a 100-bullet magazine. But it's legally considered a pistol. The gun used in the Dayton shooting (top) has a barrel that's shorter than the federal minimum for a rifle

Hope that helps “Right”Guide.

Dog shoots and kills man in 'hunting-related accident,' Kansas authorities say

https://www.foxla.com/news/dog-shoo...hem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=facebook

A man in Kansas died after he was shot and killed by a dog in a "hunting-related accident," authorities said.

The shooting was reported around 9:40 a.m. Saturday in the 1600 block of East 80th Street South near Wellington, a city in a rural area located about 45 miles south of Wichita, according to the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities said the man was sitting in the front passenger seat of a pickup truck, while hunting gear and a rifle were on the back seat — along with a dog.

"A canine belonging to the owner of the pickup stepped on the rifle causing the weapon to discharge," the Sumner County Sheriff’s Office said. "The fired round struck the passenger who died of his injuries on scene."

The man was later identified as 30-year-old Joseph Austin Smith of Wichita, according to KSNW-TV, citing authoritie

I don't ignore anything. The left isn't going to stop at just rifles. They think the rest of us are as dumb as they are about the law and the technology involved. The AR15 is the most commonly held rifle in America, there are millions of them in private hands. The SCOTUS has already ruled that bans on weapons in common use are unconstitutional. These bans are illegal.

You did ignore those figures, just as the original article did.
It's unlikely that there were no rifles within the category of firearm, type not stated'. It's of interest that the police were so uninterested that they didn't even bother to write down what sort of gun it was.
