I agree. In addition to safety we deal with a very different and more judgmental societal environment so we are more motivated to be discrete. I think that this is part of what creates some distorted perceptions. Women who do have more adventurous sex lives are highly motivated to be discrete and in control. Just looking at the outward behaviours of women versus men doesn't provide an accurate gauge of their actual attitudes and sexual activity.
