I feel as though women are operating on a whole different level from us men when it comes to encouraging us to believe things they want or need were our idea. It is a survival skill built up over the course of history. Women have had to manage the household and the relationship while letting the men believe we are in charge. It is really very impressive. Thankfully these days perhaps we can just go ahead and acknowledge the reality of it and let women assume their naturally strong role.

I think a lot of women would like to do this but most just don't want to admit it even to themselves. A different guy now and then is so exciting and if it excites your partner, a win win for everyone.

Sometimes devious, but often just better at managing interpersonal dynamics. I find that men often want to be seen as getting our way or being in control. That can stand in the way of actually getting a given outcome. But it also provides a path for women to steer things in the direction they want just by being subtle rather than controlling.

I think that it is a healthy thing for any relationship for both partners to recognize that the wife does have desire for other men and does think about it sometimes. Whether or not she ever acts on that desire, being honest about it is important. Otherwise wives are stuck between living in self-denial or feeling guilty for having these perfectly natural feelings and if the truth of the matter comes out it leads to insecurity for the husbands.

I focus specifically on the wife's desire because it is usually different for the husbands. We know they have desire for other women. We may expect him not to act on those desires, but we don't need to pretend that they don't exist.

It is expected that most men would like to have sex with other women. I think it is also true of most women. They may not act on it for a variety of reasons but should at least acknowledge the desire. It also seems that there are quite a few men that would like to have their wife willing to play around.
