Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

It’s difficult to explain to people who aren’t neuro diverse themselves (I’m assuming that’s what you’re referring to). Have you ever looked at spoon theory? X
Your assumption is spot on. And yes, I know the spoon theory. I'm not quite sure whether I have less spoons or more needs - or maybe both.

Like, how much energy do neurotypical ("normal") people need to just make a simple call? Or how much ro answer an unexpected call? Or how much does the sound and feel of wind tire you, even if you don't need to fight against it?
I struggled with having no energy myself for many years. Purely by accident did I discover a supplement that actually helps me through the day. Still, not super. Sometimes it is better to be lucky than smart.

Sending you luck! 😊
Iron was like that - treating the deficiency did almost wonders. Yet, it does not make me neurotypical. Being neurodivergent is a huge source for exhaustion.
Is the work you do physically demanding?
Nope. With asthma I'm not good for physically demanding work, though my brains and nerves might deal better with such than with mentally demanding work. And a boring job wouldn't do either...

I can’t stand the artificial sweeteners. They all taste terrible, and sucralose screws up my GI tract. So of course now they put that crap in everything 🤬
Also the glucose syrap, or inverted sugar, or corn syrup all screw up the GI tract. And what do you find almost everywhere... Yes. Just that.

NT people usually use their 20 spoons whereas the likes of us use more depending on the stimulus. Have you heard of ADHD paralysis? Thats not limited to ADHD. Everyone has different triggers but yours (and mine) are more specific and nuanced 😘

Years ago I worked at a company specializing in food nutrition software. The owner used to talk about how man made substitutes can result in something the body doesn’t know how to process correctly. Like the ick they make margarine from. Made sense to me.

Hadn't heard of the term, but I know the phenomena. And I've gotten adhd symptoms since I got asthma meds. As adhd is a born trait I assume I react abnormally to asthma meds (which do activate the neural system) and get that as a side effect.

For @CthuluLives who may be sleeping off his Burns Night:

A new Doctor reports to a Scottish Hospital and begins a tour of the facilities.

As they enter one ward, the nearest patient turns to him and says "Fair fa' your honest sonsie face, great chieftain o' the pudden race!"

Before the doctor can react, the patient in the next bed adds "Wee sleekit cowerin' timorous beastie! O what a panic's in thy breastie!"

And not to be outdone, the third patient responds "Some ha' meat and cannae eat, and some wad eat that want it!"

The doctor murmurs to the orderly "So this is the mental health ward?"

"Och no!" replies the orderly.

"...it's the Burns Unit!"

(And happy Haggis Day to us all)
@CthuluLives
We actually celebrate Robert Burns day as part of Hudson Bay Company history (lots of Scots employed by the Honorable Company) and at the dinner the haggis is piped in ceremonially and Robert Burns famous poem to a haggis is read in Gaelic.

I hope our Braveheart comes back to read this.

And then there are natural molecules the body is able to deal with in the natural amounts - not the concentrated amounts used nowadays. Or naturally some come with other things that help process them - but the processed version lacks those.

Hudson Bay Company? A lot of people are unaware of the liberal definition of the crown grant they held as interpreted by George Simpson, Chief Factor if the Company and the Emprror of the North, The only absolute ruler in North America. That included BC and the PNW as far south as San Francisco.

You have a new look too! Very nice! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Awww thank you 😊
I have noticed they tend to happen in batches. So I think since they are reviewed, whoever does it probably just does it periodically and then we see all the changed pics show up at once.

Just my theory. I have been wrong before. A lot. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yeh I think you’re right. I changed mine a while ago but it only changed on the boards yesterday, I think.

I'm not articulating myself well (as usual). It's more that I'm galled at the casual cruelty that so much of our population carries from day to day.
I just noticed it says DILF under your name. Since I don’t know what that means, and am too lazy to do a simple search to find out, I just guess… so I am guessing “Don’t I Love Fucking”. 🤣🤣🤣

Hahahahaha I nearly spat my juice out reading your definition 😂😂😂
