I've just completed a 750-word story which is going to be my first entry in the Transexual category. It's a quicky emotional rather than sexual scene. As such, I'd be very grateful if any trans members of the board were available to give it a quick look over. It's already been through one beta reader and has just been sent to another, so I'm not looking for general editing and I don't necessary need extensive comments, just a 's'all good' or a 'this bit, no no no'. Happy to reciprocate in kind with more general beta reading/editing.

I may be stepping out of line here … but; If you feel comfortable doing so, you might want to send Sticky Girl a PM. She has helped me in the past on getting a Trans stories right.

Thanks, I had a few names in mind for people who I was secretly hoping might step forward and StickyGirl was one of them. I'm not going to badger people through PMs until I've tried the softly softly approach.

I'm not trans, but it's definitely a genre I write in. Happy to take a look, if you like.

Opinion requested: is it better to revive this thread, or create a basically identical one?

I expect to start a story with sex-change elements in a few weeks. I'm writing carefully: nobody in the story is transsexual, but there is a sex change in the plot.

So, it won't be directly transsexual (in the sense of a person feeling gender dysphoria, or that they were assigned the wrong sex at birth), but I nevertheless don't want to offend any trans (or otherwise queer) readers. I'm straight and cis myself, so I can't necessarily rely on my own instincts.

Would a non-cis person care to volunteer to read the story and let me know if I've offended? The plot device, I mean plot, is M2F. I probably won't have a draft before, say, mid-November at the earliest.

Thanks.

Surely if the character is not actually trans, it's largely irrelevant. The whole point of the story is blatant objectification. Half the stories in T&C (or maybe it's just my kink) are basically guy-transforms-into-woman / woman-grows-cock / etc. followed by lots of experimentation.

It is very likely that I'm being too sensitive, but I really do not like to offend people (she says, having written several stories in Nonconsent).

Sensitivity reader...

Imitates my mother in law (RIP) who would throw her arms in the air and with all her Italian old world drama yell "I can't!"
