personally, i think the dems should be playing this with a serious 'business first' face rather than making jokes about watching the show, simply to remain looking like the adults in the room... adults who don't approve of all the wasted tax-payer money for a shitshow.

having said that, though, i can't help but agree with the sentiments expressed below:

“This collective group has the credibility of a sentient My Pillow commercial,” Brock said.

Eric Schultz, a top White House spokesman under former President Barack Obama, said they found over the course of the administration that the most effective and challenging Oversight members to deal with “were the ones who take their jobs seriously and don’t look for attention.”

“The more unserious people performing congressional oversight the easier this is going to be for the [Biden] administration. And in that regard I think the White House hit the jackpot. This is a crowd that will make [former House Oversight chair] Darrell Issa look intellectual.”

Recognizing the entertainment value that Gosar and MTG provide is just hard to ignore. Neither should be taken seriously....no matter what committee they're on. Boebert is almost comic like at times.

Democrats will govern as they're able. This shit show isn't about oversight nor should it be treated as such.
