Okay Chaos peeps... especially my friends across the pond who are just waking up... I have been messing about in the kitchen and now have about 2 cup of grated ginger and peaches bits that I do not want to go to waste. I'm thinking of making a ginger simple syrup kind of thing? Any suggestions?

And I've already salvaged enough of the larger peach pieces that have been macerating in ginger and sugar for 36 hours to bake a peach pie in a week or so (peaches already in the freezer.)
Also... the ginger was grated with skin on for the original use and I'm just worried the bits of ginger skin might be gritty in a baked pudding or cake

As Stix suggested, might have been a protective shut down... I guess I'm old enough to have had a lot of blenders without that feature and have burned thru a few... a hazard especially since I have used blenders for paper making...which is notoriously hard on blenders. I prolly burnt thru 6 blenders just doing that when I was in art school... good times.Would a drill work? Might get messy depending on the speed, but hey, it’s 1am, and we gotta improvise.![]()
