Mrtenant's Vesper Martini

3 oz Grey Goose Vodka
1 oz Tann's Gin
1/2 oz Lillet Wine
1/4 oz squeezed lemon juice

There are several ways to do this martini. I got very drunk one day finding the recipe that I like from trial and error. I do the bartending at my house and experiment often. Especially since we got a bar a couple years ago. 🤪

This is the best version I came out with. I have another version that is quicker and easier.

This takes planning, so plan it.

Set your bottle of vodka in the freezer for a couple hours. When ready,, proceed as follows:

Using your measuring shooter, measure out the vodka, gin, and Lillet wine into your shaker. Squeeze a lemon wedge for the required lemon juice also into the shaker. Shake well and pour into your martini glass. Peel off a bit of lemon peel as garnish.

(Do not eat the lemon peel)

These things go down like some kind of exotic lemonade and are just as refreshing.20230115_143253.jpg

Recommendation: your vodka should live in your freezer. Shortens the planning stage! 💋

I love a Vesper Martini!
I use to do it the other way around with vodka and gin. 3 parts Gin, 1 part Vodka, 1 part Lillet Blanc and squeezed lemon oil over it all. I use Tanqueray London dry Gin and Smirnoff Vodka.

I like the Tanns gin. It has a more flowery taste without being over powering. And the Grey Goose is just some of the smoothest vodka ever, imo.

And yet I still don’t know…

To get carded means to be asked to provide proof of legal age to drink/buy or be served alcohol.
Once you are a woman of a certain age it feels a bit like a victory to be asked to prove you are over 21.
But these days it just feels silly as I could easily have my own 21 yo. 🤣🤣🤣

@Cogan
There ya go 😊🌟😊
