Here it's the opposite people eat more fast food then they do home cooked well it's what I've noticed. Especially with younger generations

That's sad. Here of course course one thing limiting is that up to high school / vocational school teens get free lunch in school. Then universities have very cheap student lunches - cheaper than fast food, and it keeps the hunger away longer, so any student counting her money will rather eat there.

And lunch restaurants for workers are a thing, too. For about 10€ you'll get a lunch that's closer to home cooked than fast food, salad buffet included. If you are too tired, busy or lazy too cook dinner at home, buying readymade is more common than fast food.
