Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

I’ve been so pleasantly surprised by what the people of lit bring to the table. We’ve got school smarts, street smarts, lots of folks with high emotional intelligence. We all bring a wonderful collection of talents❤️

Then there’s me who’s kinda just there trying to pretend like I know what all the smartypants in the room are talking about. 🤣

I retired from ASTM International, you may have heard of them. An global standards organization. I was Membership Secretary, over seeing ASTM's members for 27 years. I thought it might be interesting for you, or maybe not.
That is very impressive!!

My New Year's Eve plans are a House party at the home of my two oldest friends (we started University together in 1977). The festivities will include food and drink and likely watching the World Juniors (hockey) and the sacrifice of a virgin bottle of whiskey. This year i am bringing a bottle of Writer's Tears, my current favourite Irish whiskey. https://www.walshwhiskey.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/BottleBox_PortfolioProfile_528x1092px_WT_CopperPot.png

I am most proud of making it this far. I was in pretty rough shape there for a while. The Pharmacist said to me today "Wow, you look a lot better. You look like you're actually going to make it."

She's right. I looked like Death warmed over two months ago.

I drive a towmotor and resist the urge to kabob idiots. 🤷‍♂️
If you noticed Soupy, my list included more than folks traditionally good at school or that went in a direction that required a college degree. That was done purposefully. We are all, collectively amazing and incredible. Our value is in our pooled resources. You are compassionate, kind, thoughtful and intelligent. That is not defined or diminished by your job in the same way that mine does not define me. As the first in my family to earn a degree of any kind I picked my undergrad field for two reasons: I was somehow good at it and it sounded impressive. As far as undergrad degrees go they are not horrible reasons but they are not character defining either.
