It's "Twitter Freedom Friday!"

It was YOUR hypothetical. If it's financially unattainable for you, then maybe you should go find a job and do that "work" thing your mom is always nagging you about.
I never mentioned a yacht, work, or my mother.

Why do you lie so much, Derpy?

Greta already buried this simp but now she just erased him from history.

You know what's really hilarious? That you klowns believe Greta is actually on to something.

I wonder if you dipshits are aware of how much carbon is required to make a pizza and get it to your door??? That's not even considering that you can't recycle the pizza box without washing it first. Which uses more carbon to heat the water, pump the water, manufacture the soap, run the sewer plant to clean the used water...

Carbon is not electricity. There’s nothing in any of those processes that requires burning fossil fuels.

no, what's hilarious is that she got a rapist and sex trafficker arrested by a simple tweet. dude is like you in that way that he's also a rapist who never knows when to shut his ignorant trap.

“The smell of leftover takeout food and body odor has lingered on the floors ... bathrooms have grown dirty” and with janitors gone some “workers have resorted to bringing their own rolls of toilet paper from home,” The New York Times reported Thursday, citing accounts from employees.
Musk suddenly canceled janitorial services early this month at the headquarters, NBC News reported. Janitors said they were locked out with no warning just weeks before the holidays after they had sought better wages, and the company terminated a cleaning contract.
One janitor, who told the BBC that he had worked at Twitter for 10 years, said he was told by Musk’s team that eventually his job wouldn’t even exist because robots would replace human cleaners.

But the robots haven’t shown up yet.

i'm still of the mind that—having had his hand forced into buying twitter at a price he never intended on paying—he'd happily see it crash and burn just out of petty spite

Worshiping at the alter of a wet-behind-the-ears idealist teenager demonstrates that you're as vacuous as she is.

Oh Harpy, the pizza box point flies over your head so same as it ever was.

Harpy solidifies his reputation yet again.

Subjective valuation. She hasn't even finished school. She is a political totem to be cast aside and forgotten as soon as her usefulness has expired. She's the pop-culture equivalent of, "One of my best friends is black [or fill in the blank]"

She's the reason our Founders put age limits into the Constitution.

Her brain is still developing.

If we allow it...
AJ's still seething that "short dick energy" has entered the public discourse via Greta's viral smackdown. "Alpha Males" like AJ take that very personally.

Some points about the pizza box:

  • It's made of paper/cardboard which takes fossil fuels to make.
  • It can't be recycled as paper because the grease/oil on/in it make that impossible.
  • Delivery requires fossil fuels.
  • Manufacturing requires fossil fuel.
  • Manufacturing the machines to make and deliver it requires fossil fuel.
  • Repairing/maintaining the machines to make and deliver it requires fossil fuel.
For those who snark that we can use electricity for all of that, no we can't because some of it requires fossil fuels to GENERATE the electricity, make the generators, and so on. Worse, the water impounds we're using to generate what electricity we do use are drying up. Once that happens, we'll be in an electricity shortage with no way out.

If you're incapable of understanding that, then YOU'RE part of the problem not the solution.

Paper was invented long before making it with fossil fuels was possible.

Yes, it can after proper rinsing.
  • Delivery requires fossil fuels.
Bicycles, EVs.
  • Manufacturing requires fossil fuel.
So?
  • Manufacturing the machines to make and deliver it requires fossil fuel.
Same.
  • Repairing/maintaining the machines to make and deliver it requires fossil fuel.
Same.

Agreed, problem child.

You tried.

😑

HisArpy overstates the case.

Electricity doesn't have to be derived from fossil fuels. It can be generated by solar, wind, hydro, geothemal etc.

The packaging can be made with renewable sourced electricity. The used packaging can be burned in a modern carbon capture incinerator - to produce electricity.

Delivery can be by electric vehicles including electric mopeds. BUT the vehicles need carbon to produce them. Manufacturing machinery requires carbon. Lubricating them requires fossil fuels. But they can be designed to reduce the carbon need and for a long life so that no new carbon is needed for years.

We can reduce our need and use, but at present we do not have the science or technology to do without carbon or fossil fuels entirely.

But it is not as bad as HisArpy states.

Exactly. If we have ten people buy EVs, that is ten cars' emissions off the road. Yes, you'll replace it with carbon based energy, most likely, but that doesn't have to be that type of energy and even if it were, you're still removing 10 cars

Lol, we've gave up using wood burning firepits underneath cauldrons of paper pulp a long time ago.

Not that you'll understand how that references what you posted because you're too interested in parsing rather than content.

There's a knee slapper for ya.

Electricity doesn't HAVE to be generated by fossil fuels, but it's the cheapest and cleanest energy we have. It's more reliable compared to wind/solar and environmentally safer than nuclear.

If you believe that solar/wind are "cleaner" you need to wake the fuck up and stop listening to the girl with Asperger's tell you what's real and what isn't.

All the rest of what you're talking about is a pipe dream. Yes, we're capable of creating an industry for doing all of that, but CURRENTLY we don't have that industry on any scale which will do what you say. Which basically says that your FANTASY isn't reality.

Not that it will stop you from wanting to believe in it.

Whether fossil fuels are the cheapest electricity really depends on the specific market. In general, that's no longer the case. In many markets, there's a reason why renewables are the growth sector they are, and coal and oil are not. There's also a good argument to be made that nuclear energy is significantly better for the environment than fossil.
