There's a lot. Sometimes it's the little man made lake I've sailed on the last 20 years or so. I raised two kids there, in many ways.
It's also a little pub in a little town in East Anglia. Doesn't matter which town, or even which pub; they are simultaneously the same and wonderfully different.
It's also a place that isn't a place: it's that point where the mentee shifts. Where they become an equal. Where they understand what they understand, and you both know.

Too many places to name, but one of my favorite areas is the Adirondacks in northern New York. This is a shot of Cranberry Lake up there I took in 2013 or 2014? Best photo I've ever taken. This will never be topped.
