They didn't determine or enforce TOS rules for media companies. They referred questionable posts for review by the social media companies...similar to you or I reporting a post.

I wanted to return to this and the notion of the "surveillance state."

So I'll add a few questions of my own.

"Why was it so important to take gen. Flynn out so quickly and decisively?"

"To what purpose is the administration allowing, literally, hundreds of thousands of unvetted aliens into this nation?"

"Why is Tesla stock tanking?"

"Why is there a disconnect between the administrations foreign policy and the domestic policy?" (In this regard let me state that Biden is NOT a Chinese puppet. While past family business dealings might lead one to believe he is, the actions being taken put that notion to the lie.)

The 'Surveillance State' is becoming ever more pervasive in the lives of the citizen. To a greater extent than ever in human history they are aware, to a greater of lesser extent, of everything you do. And if you happen to be in a position of power, to any extent, they have the means to either take you out or bend you to their will. Even if you've lived a life of virtue they have the means to compromise you, even through entrapment if they so desire. You can even prove your innocence in a court of law, but so what? By then you'll exit the system destitute. If they can't break you morally, they'll break you financially.

For the sake of argument let's assume that Biden IS compromised. And if that is the case the question is, "Who/What is blackmailing the president?" And that begs the follow on question, "Who/What is in the position of knowing every intimate detail of the presidents, any presidents, life?" That last question is rhetorical, between the CIA, FBI, and DIA they have a dossier on virtually every person that may end up with their hands on the levers of power that would have made the KGB back at its finest green with envy. And the "Patriot Act" made it possible for them to share that information between agencies. Who/What is the most likely candidate now?

The publication of the "Twitter Files" has started to pull the curtain back concerning what was going on behind the scenes. Elon Musk went from being the 'golden boy' to being public enemy #1 overnight. Calls for investigations here and investigations there springing up all over the political landscape. I do believe that Musk does have a legitimate reason to be concerned for his life. All this anti-Musk activity on the part of the government and their willing minions in the press does more to validate the contents of those Tweets than other particular action they could take. A whole bunch of powerful people got caught with their hands in the cookie jar and they're not going to take that lightly. They aren't going to allow some damn African-American upstart undo the scam they've got going.

You lefties had best pay serious attention to this because if I'm even halfway right the goals of the 'Surveillance State' can change within a generation, of less, and you'll find yourself the target of being an obstacle to the goals of individuals that you never voted for.

The “October surprise” of “Hunter’s laptop” and the misinformation surrounding what it contained was EXACTLY like the “Weiner laptop” in October 2016 over which the FBI WRONGLY announced a re-opening of their investigation into “Hillary’s e-mails”.

The POS POTUS was also laying the groundwork for usurping the will of the people by premeditatively questioning the legitimacy of the outcome of voting in 2020, and lying about, well, anything and everything - on Twitter and from the Bully Pulpit.

That ^ is the simple “Occam’s Razor” answer to the Qanon level bullshit in the quoted comments.
