My Christmas tradition is rather less labour intensive... stay away from the kitchen so as not to get yelled at by mother and hide from all my parents' guests until they leave. At some point, sneak into kitchen and quickly grab booze and chocolates before I'm spotted

Having dinner with my wife’s extended family last night when my mother-in-law proposed a prayer. My 6yo niece announced “Oh, we don’t do that in this family.”

“Excuse me?” said grandpa. “Who told you that?”

Little niece continues, “Yeah, our family doesn’t do church. It’s way too boring.”

I’m so glad it wasn’t my kid!
