I used to love that sound then I ended up with a leaky chimney that almost flooded my living room. So now I'm a bit paranoid at the sound
One day I shall enjoy it again once the trauma has passed.

Actually, I can really relate to that. A few times a year it really rains hard for a day or two, and a couple places in my roof start to leak. Light rain doesn’t do it, only the really heavy rain. But nothing I can do about it right now, so I just live with it and cringe a bit when it happens.
