Nah, just grumpy af. Trying to get a tired changed at Wal-Mart during holiday season will do that.

And in the end, I still have to put the tire on myself. Because apparently, they won’t put a single tire on an all wheel drive vehicle, but they will if you buy four tires. Guess they don’t like money?

And in the end, I still have to put the tire on myself. Because apparently, they won’t put a single tire on an all wheel drive vehicle, but they will if you buy four tires. Guess they don’t like money?

Well, that makes a little sense - the tire sizes on an all wheel drive need to be exactly the same otherwise it wears out the diffs if they are limited slip, and the transfer case. They do not want someone claiming they ruined their car.

Well, the donut is worse, that is surely true. I have heard of that completely frying a limited slip in 50 miles.

if one tire is always turning at a different rate than the other tires because of a different diameter, it will cause the transfer case to always be slipping, which creates heat as well as wears much faster. However, how much of a problem that might be depends entirely on the car.
