Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

I may have missed happy hour... three pages back and I have not read through...
But I'd like to add my own happy hour contribution

Quatro C (Cascadiabound's Cranberry Christmas Cocktail) invented this morning

Make Cranberry Simple Syrup
  • 8 oz fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
Combine in saucepan and bring to a simmer. Cook at medium heat for 10 minutes and then remove from heat just before berries burst. Strain once mixture is cooled.

Muddle 20-30 mint leaves with 1 tablespoon coarse sugar and 3 T lime.

Add rum in 1:1 ratio to simple syrup.
Add muddled liquid (strain leaves).
Add 1/4 cup cranberry juice
12 oz ginger beer
Now you have a pitcher of goodness!

Pour over ice into a highball glass and top with ginger beer. Garnish with fresh cranberries and lime.
If available, add 3 drops ginger or ginger pear bitters.
Stir
Drink

I bought my father-in-law a bottle of Old Grandad when my son was born, obviously for the name more than anything. But that stuff is pretty darn good in its own right, kinda wish I woulda bought one for myself too!

I bought a bottle of Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 Year Scotch to celebrate my first born, and the Rabbit Hole was what I celebrated our second with.

Catching up. The Balvenie Caribbean Cask is one of my absolute favorite single malts. You have excellent taste. 🥃
