Chaotic Coffee Klatch (tea also available)

I took 4 weeks off to travel once, and I had to start the approval process a year in advance!

Are you hiring 😂
Just come to Finland. 4 vacation weeks is what you get legally after working a full year, and the collective agreement may get you more. After first year it's usually 5 weeks - 4 in the summer, 1 in winter. Every year, not just every once in a while.

In some places you can also swap one benefit for 50% more vacation... Which makes some have close to 8 weeks vacation.

Good Morning Strix:
I never left the US, but if I did now I would never go back.

You didn't have to give up a shotgun to get it did you!?😮🧐🤣

I'm sure there are a few jobs out there for where I work🤔😉🧐
No! I was armed with an email 😁
They had to approve it, I was a total 😇

Wow, I had almost 4 weeks vacation after I worked for 10 years but even then I wasn't allowed to take more than a week off at a time 😮

Here having at least 2 consecutive weeks is something you can't give up even if you want to. The rest you can take in pieces, but it's common to be 4 weeks off in a row.

We think yearly vacations are essential. July is a quiet month in many places.

Okay, I'm going to research how to move there 😂
